NEW DELHI: While Congress and Rahul Gandhi are accusing the Modi government of resorting to "politics of vendetta" on mega food park in Amethi, the documents accessed by Times Now show that the Amethi project was shelved by the UPA government in January, 2013.

"In fact Shri Rahul Gandhi did not do proper homework about the project and did not take up the project under Congress regime. If Shri Rahul Gandhi was as serious about this Mega Food Park as he is today, this Mega Food Park would have been completed by now," Badal said.

New Delhi: A heated debate was witnessed in Lok Sabha today over the cancellation  of mega Food Park in Amethi with Congress accusing the Narendra Modi government of resorting to "politics of vendetta" on developmental issues. The issue which was first raised by Rahul in the House last week, was raked up again today with verbal exchanges between members of Congress and treasury benches after Leader of the Congress Mallikarjun Kharge referred to the food park scrapped by the NDA government.He alleged that NDA is not clearing projects of the erstwhile UPA regime by either cancelling or not proceeding ahead. However, there is a new twist in the tale - a leading news channel made a major  revelation  today.

New Delhi: The letter obtained by ABP News on the ongoing food park issue in Amethi has revealed that the UPA government in 2013 did not pay attention to the requirements of the mega food park that was to be set up in Amethi.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the NDA government cancelled the permission to Shaktiman Food Park, the first such project in UP which was to be set up by Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited in Jagdishpur, Amethi.
